No imported berries that you can’t pronounce or exotic fermented drinks that costs $5 a bottle; these foods are not only easy to find, but also very affordable and of course absolutely delicious. If you follow the simple philosophy that health and vitality are grown from the ground, not manufactured and sold in supplement stores, you’ll be well on your way to not only feeling better, but also looking better. Who knew the fountain of youth could be found in your fridge?
I’m not one of those vegans that thinks I can bully society into bending into what I think is more ethical and a better fit for my personal lifestyle.
I’m not here to demonize anybody or any certain company. Really, I would love to have all of these brands that aren’t cruelty free to be on the other side of my list in the future. I would not be mentioning these companies and brands if they did not have something to offer to the beauty table.

The transition from winter to spring for me is my favorite time of year. In western Washington, the beginning of Spring is usually pretty cool and crisp, flowers are just starting to bloom, and the sun is starting to stay out for a reasonable amount of time.
Now is the time of transition where we try to figure out the balance of warm yet breathable clothing, moisturizing but not greasy face cream, and attempt to bring back some color to our complexion.
In celebration of the sun (it’s kind of a big deal here in the Pacific Northwest) let’s start the warmer months off right with these products that will make you prettier, happier and healthier.
