If you know me personally, you would know that I love to spend me some money. I can’t help it, I work hard for my money and I like to have nice things to show for it. I will however admit that while my wardrobe is top notch and my cosmetic drawer could make even a Nordstrom employee blush, the bulk of what I own could easily be replaced with something more cost effective without sacrificing quality.
With that being said, does that stop me? Of course not! If you have been curious about that real high end stuff sold in select beauty counters, not that middle of the road *yawn* cosmetics found in line at your local Sephora, then this is the list for you.
These products are the real deal. You may need to consider getting that seasonal job at Hickory Farms to be able to afford this list, but I promise you, they are all worth it.
1. ZO Medical Hydrafirm Eye Brightening Repair Cream (from $140 for 0.5 oz)
This tiny eye cream really packs a punch. This is arguably one of the most expensive products (per ounce) on this list, but it really does deserve a spot at the top.
This one eye cream will eliminate absolutely every eye concern you have next to vision. This cream is stuffed full of active ingredients that helps to promote collagen, diminishes hyper pigmentation, reduces puffiness, promotes circulation, moisturizers, help build a protective barrier, and has antioxidants to help combat free radicals and irritation.
What else do you need?
2. ACTiiV Hair Science Recover Thickening System (From $60 for shampoo)
If you have been following my blog for some time now, you may notice that I focus solely on proven, peer reviewed science based cosmetics. ACTiiV Hair Science does not technically meet my usual standard, but I have to tell you, after using this system for some time now, it really does work.
ACTiiv Hair Science Recover Thickening System is a vegan, natural based product line designed to be simple to use and all around effective no matter what type of thinning or gender you are.
If it is able to stop my hair shedding almost completely, it is $60 worth spent in my book.
3. Sunday Riley U.F.O Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil (from $80 for 1.5 oz)
If you, like myself, are afraid of adding anything oily to your already greasy skin, fear not. This product is a dream for anyone who suffers from clogged pores, tired looking skin, blotchy redness or all of the above.
Salicylic acid mixed with non chomeogenic oils and chamomile extract will eliminate stubborn black heads, small break outs and clogged pores while also nourishing and keep the moisture levels balanced.
Just apply once each evening and wake up with smooth beautiful skin, it is that simple!
4. The Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer (from $399)
From the lightweight balanced design, to the purring quiet engine, it only takes one time to play with the little masterpiece to know that it is worth every penny you’ll need to shell out for it.
The over all design on the dryer is immaculate (just as any other design from Dyson). The added feature of magnetized attachments is just a bonus.
The best part is, without sacrificing drying time, you can hold full conversations and even listen to music over the ultra quiet motor.
5. Osmotics Cosmeceuticals Lip & Tuck Lip Treatment (From $35 for .12 oz)
Doesn’t seem like a bad deal compared to the price point of the other products on the list until you open the box and see how stingy Osmotic Cosmeceuticals is with their serving. None the less, what little product you get is worth it.
While the glossy finish (and small color selection) is fine for day time, I personally think this treatment is perfect for your night time ritual.
Contains a high amount of plumping, moisturizing and smoothing ingredients, you will wake up with juicy soft, line free lips, guaranteed.
Perfect for former smokers, this can be applied slightly around the lip line to enhance smoothness and plumping effect.
And best of all, unlike other lip plumpers, this treatment doesn’t contain damaging ingredients that gives you the dated bee stung look.
6. 3Lab Perfect BB Cream SPF 40+++ (from $100 for 1.5 oz)
When is a BB cream worth $100 for 1.5 oz? When the BB cream offers the same benefits, coverage, and protection from environment and sun as Korean imported products, while offering flattering shades and undertones for western skin.
This is one of those make up products that looks incredible on (seriously, people will be commenting on your skin all day) and makes your skin feel pampered and well treated when you take it off.
If it is dryness, dark spot reduction, sun protection, anti aging or you want a just a nice light make up base, this BB creme will offer everything you are looking for and more.
7. Oribe Dry Texture Spray (From $44 for 8.5 oz)
It is rare to see a hair care company doing something truly innovative and come up with something that no other company has already created. Oribe Dry Texture Spray does just that. Consider this dry shampoo 2.0.
Instead of using powder that can leave the hair with dulling residue, Dry Texture Spray uses patented polymer technology that absorbs excess oil, lifts the roots and gives your hair endless texture and volume. You will have clean, dry, and firm volume that lasts for days and days.
Since the release of this product, many companies have tried to replicate it, but nothing has come close to Oribe’s perfect formula.
I have personally purchased this product 10 times over and mark my word, it is worth every last dollar you will drop for it.
